Here are two ways to obtain financial aid scholarships, covering either partial or full tuition:

  1. Nevada Educational Choice Scholarship Program (Opportunity Scholarship) - via the Department of Education: Nevada Choice Scholarship Program
  2. OHIA Financial Aid.

Nevada Educational Choice Scholarship Program (Opportunity Scholarship):

Apply early, from Spring through Summer, to each foundation.

OHIA has been eligible as an Opportunity Scholarship recipient through the Department of Education since the 2016-2017 academic year. Learn more at http://www.doe.nv.gov/Private_Schools/Nevada_Choice_Scholarship_ProgrAM/

Apply to all available foundations (there are several) approved by the Department of Education (DOE). Check the DOE website for the latest information about the 2024-2025 open enrollment period, and sign up for email alerts from each eligible foundation that may offer you a scholarship. Similar required documents needed by OHIA Financial Aid will be requested by each foundation, you may use the list below.

OHIA Financial Aid:

The OHIA financial aid program is open to registered students. OHIA financial aid applications will only be reviewed by the OHIA Founder after receiving a rejection letter for Nevada Educational Choice Scholarship Program (Opportunity Scholarship) scholarship applications. 

Please prepare the following documents to apply for OHIA financial aid:

  • Tax Transcripts for 2023, 2022, 2021, and 2020. OHIA only accepts transcripts from IRS.GOV
  •  The last three paystubs from both parents.
  • If you are a family that has gone through a divorce, please provide your legal divorce document. Any other documents you believe are necessary to show your total family income.
  • Any UI (Unemployment) information showing monthly income OR a denial statement letter.
  • Any documents from the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), such as Medicaid, TANF, SNAP.
